Determination of Calcium concentration in process water

Calcium analysis makes it possible to quantify the concentration of Ca2+ in process water. Monitoring the amount of calcium in water is important to ensure the high quality standards of the electroplating industry required by the market.

Method

Test type: End Point.

Time testing: 2 minutes
Analysis sessions with multiple samples are possible up to a maximum of 16 tests for CDR GalvanLab®.

Sample treatment

The analysis is performed on the sample without pretreatment.

Test principle

Calcium ions react with the chromogen in the reagent and generate colored complexes, whose absorbance measured at 580 nm is proportional to the concentration of the analyte in the sample.

Calibration curve

The calibration curve was constructed using standard calcium solutions. The trend of the curve confirmed an excellent linearity of the system over the whole measuring range.

The calibration curve was obtained using a standard calcium solution. R²=0.9891
