Determination of Rhodium in Rhodium bath

Determining the rhodium content in a rhodium plating bath is crucial for the success of the electroplating process and for economic optimisation. Maintaining an optimal concentration ensures uniform, shiny and highly corrosion-resistant coatings, while an incorrect content compromises the quality of the deposit. Furthermore, monitoring rhodium, a precious and expensive metal, minimises waste, reducing operating costs and ensuring efficient use of the resource.

Method

Test Type: End Point.
Time testing: 1 minute
Analysis sessions with multiple samples are possible up to a maximum of 16 tests for CDR GalvanLab®.

Sample Treatment

The sample can be used as is.

Test Principle

Rhodium content is determined by its reaction with a chromogen that develops a coloration, the optical intensity of which is proportional to the concentration of the analyte in the analyzed sample.

Calibration curve

The calibration curve was obtained by correlating the CDR method with the reference method.
